7. fREEDOM OF THE CITY
7.1 The Mayor advised that this item of business related to the proposal to consider whether to remove the honour of Freedom of the City from Aung San Suu Kyi awarded in 2011.
7.2 Councillor Sankey, Leader of the Council formally moved the report.
7.3 Councillors Assaduzzaman, Shanks, Meadows and Earthey spoke on the matter.
7.4 The Mayor put the recommendations as set out in the report to the vote.
7.5 RESOLVED:
(1) That Council revoked the Freedom of the City of Brighton & Hove awarded
to Aung San Suu Kyi.
